Materials Sustainability in the Pharmaceutical Industry
Kuldeep et al.

This review is an attempt to present materials sustainability in the pharmaceutical industry and its pivotal shift toward environmentally responsible practices, driven by innovation, and regulation, aimed to investigate current environmental initiatives within the industry, alongside perspectives and attitudes regarding strategies to tackle environmental challenges and concerns. Sustainability in the pharmaceutical industry requires a holistic and integrated approach, involving every aspect of the business, from supply chain management to product development. By prioritizing sustainability, the industry can contribute to global climate goals while ensuring its own resilience and long-term success.
Gardas Ramesh L.

This review provides a comprehensive analysis of IL-LLE approaches for wastewater treatment, commencing with an overview of the historical evolution of ILs, tracing their progression from initial research to contemporary and advanced applications. The article primarily examines the practical applications of IL-LLE, demonstrating how these approaches are employed to efficiently remove diverse contaminants from both simulated and actual industrial wastewater samples. As a whole, the review consolidates the versatility and efficiency of IL-based LLE in addressing various challenges in wastewater treatment.
Stoycheva Stella et al.

To reach a sustainable future and meet the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), business model innovation (BMI) needs to explore theoretical and practical intersections of the traditional innovation management (IM) and new product development (NPD) processes with sustainability considerations...
Bio-based Green Solvents in Organic Synthesis. An Updated Review
Quadros Gabriela T. et al.

This review explores advancements made with regard to bio-based solvents over the past 5 years (from 2019 to the present). Over 70 studies are presented in this review regarding the use of bio-based solvents, highlighting their potential to replace conventional fossil-based ones, such as dichloromethane and toluene.
Achieving Sustainability in the Assembly of Modified Nucleosides Using Green Solvents
Kapdi Anant R. et al.

This review critically analyzes examples of nucleoside functionalization carried out in different sustainable solvents and also helps to assess the feasibility of such solvent choices for further applications.
